The new European Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation is the successor of the 2007-2013 programme with the same name. The major change is that the EU support is more focused on cooperation than on technical assistance. In addition, the geographical scope of the Instrument has been extended to include EU accession countries previously included in the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
