Objectives

The aim of this project was the assessment of the instrumentation and control systems, including computer information systems, installed in the VVER 440-213 reactors of Bohunice, Units 1 and 2, and Dukovany Units 1 to 4 since, in relation to the need for replacement of these systems due to reaching end of their service life.

In particular, the project specific objectives were:

  • to define a necessary or an appropriate concept, scope and the best approach to replace existing I & C systems;
  • to develop requirements and specifications for tenders, tender evaluation, pre-control technical assistance and services for the contracting authority to prove the new I & C systems.

Results

The project activities were splitted into two phases: the first phase included a study with a conceptual proposal for the I & C replacement. The second phase developed the specification and provided for a pre-contract assistance.

The project was completed according to the specified Terms of Reference. The start and end dates of the project as specified above are indicative only.
