Objectives

The objective of the project was to provide technical assistance in the preparation of training procedures and the management of training materials for the training of Russian staff working in VVER 230 plants.

Results

The following procedures have been established in Russia
Phase 1: Training procedures development
Diagnosis of the VVER-230 NPPs Russian Training environment;
Development of Job and Task Analysis (JTA) procedures;
Development of design procedures;
Procedures to develop training material;
Development of implementation procedures;
Development of evaluation procedures.
Phase 2: Management of training facilities, equipment and material
A Quality Assurance Manual has been written.
Phase 3 : Development of training material and training
Training course for JTA analysts;
JTA performance and training design of the control room operators;
Development of training material for control room operators;
Implementation and assessment.
Training
NTC staff has been trained to apply Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), and JTA procedures. JTA procedures in particular have been applied for 3 job descriptions (shift supervisor, reactor operator and turbine operator) 681 instructor guides have been established.
