Objectives

On request of the Beneficiary a simulator (see Project R1.06/93) was provided for instruction and proficiency training of operator teams to improve their skills and knowledge to operate the BN 600 NPP at Beloyarsk.
Following types of training had to be taken into account:
Initial individual training in control and understanding of the basis systems in the plant unit;
Group training, with reference to their work methods in the control room, but also taking account of communication among the operating team;
On-going individual proficiency training (recycling).
The simulator shall be designed as a training tool and not as a study simulator.
The control tasks will be ergonomically studied to allow working in a seated position. Large format screens will be installed on the control desks according to functions selected for training.
Alarm strips will cover major status information and will be of the highest indicator type.
The following systems will be simulated and adequate training will be provided:
Reactor core;
Primary sodium circuit;
Argon circuit;
Secondary sodium circle;
Further to be defined in the training.

Results

The training was performed according to the objective.
