Objectives
This project is connected to the UK/RA/01 project “Transfer of Western European Regulatory Methodology and Practices to the Nuclear Safety Authority of Ukraine”. Its objective is to support the Ukrainian Nuclear Safety Authority to implement Quality Assurance Systems in the area of the nuclear safety. To achieve this goal, information and training will be given to the staff of the Ukrainian Nuclear Safety Authority during workshops.
The specific items of the workshops are:
- General information about Quality Management.
- Detailed information about the Quality Assurance systems in Nuclear Power Plants
- Inspection and audit of Quality Assurance systems at Nuclear Power Plants
Results
Two workshops with duration of 3 weeks each were performed in 1995 and 1996. 20 staff of the Ukrainian Nuclear Safety Authority attended those workshops.
The lectures were given by German experts from the licensing authority (Rhineland-Palatinate), from a Nuclear Power Plant (Biblis) and from a Technical Support Organization (TUV). The topics of the workshops were addressed according to the TORs.
