Objectives

In September 1992, in the framework of the TACIS 1991 programme, the Commission organised a three day Seminar on Nuclear Safeguards issues at EC DG XVII in Luxembourg as part of the process of programming and management of this aspect of the TACIS Nuclear Safety Assistance Programme.
The purpose of the present contract was to organise the travel and accommodation of four Russian experts (two from the Kurchatov Institute and two from the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation) in order to enable them to take part in the Seminar.
The Consultant provided assistance in obtaining the required visas, organised all transportation for international as well as local travel to and from the Seminar venue, made the necessary hotel reservations and paid all related costs as well as daily subsistence costs for the experts.

Results

The seminar in took place from 14 and 16 September 1992.
