Background
The project is a small part of a general project aimed to develop and deliver simulation tools to be installed on the VVER-440-NPP sites (230/213). Multifunctional Simulators (MFS) had to be supplied and delivered to Novoronezh Training Centre and Kola NPP.
At Kola in particular, one multifunctional graphical interface simulator was to be installed with the capabilities to run two models (one 230 and one 213). For Novovoronezh, the project had to be in line with the results of the feasibility study and the data collection performed under TACIS 91 (project 1.7).
In order launch officially the project, the EC had to organise a start-up meeting in Brussels on 13-15 April 1994 with representation of all beneficiary countries (3 experts per country, one team leader, one training expert and one computer specialist).
Objectives
The objectives of this meeting were:
- To present available results of the on-going at that time TACIS project 1.7 (budget 1991) related to the subject,
- to discuss a proposal for the organisation of the project, including inputs for the technical specifications, project follow-up, acceptance criteria,
- to determine and clarify the capabilities of the different beneficiary countries organisations for active participation into the project as potential subcontractors (mainly in the fields of Data package collection, validation, Man machine Interface development and Software models development),
- to collect inputs for the drafting of the Terms of Reference (to be used for the call for tender)
